TAMIYA 15128 - MINI 4WD SLIDING DAMPER ROLLER

As its name implies, the main purpose of the this parts is to provide smooth cornering in circuits with many S-style corners, as well as absorbing shocks while hitting the fences of the circuit. The Sliding Damper Roller set was mount onto the bodyshell's rear spoiler attachment.

However, the way the parts attach to the car is also a double-edge sword; Since it is attached to the bodyshell, it puts the bodyshell under stress when the car hits the fences. It was more apparent on the bodyshell with lightening holes opened, where the bodyshell will risk being breaks under stress. Also, not all bodyshells are compatible with the set.

By default, it comes with two springs; using the soft spring, the sliding damper's main plate will slides upon collides with the fences. With the hard spring however, the sliding damper will behaves like the normal rear stays. It also comes with a pair of 20mm normal plastic rollers and a pair of 14mm tapered plastic rollers.

The set also comes with the ball diff grease, but the sliding damper's responsive rate can be adjust using the Sliding Damper Grease Set or the HG Sliding Damper Grease Set.
